In August, plenty of shared "romantic" cruises cost more per couple for two hours on a busy deck. In low season, the same money buys the whole boat — and, on many days, the whole anchorage.
Why an Ibiza boat trip for couples works best in low season
We run one boat out of Marina Santa Eulalia, and we watch the island change the week the summer schedules stop. The buoy fields empty. The water settles and clears. The light drops lower and turns the east-coast cliffs amber by mid-afternoon. None of that is marketing; it is simply what October to April looks like from the helm.
For a couple, the practical differences matter as much as the pretty ones:
- Empty anchorages. Coves that hold thirty boats in August often hold none. Cut the engines and the loudest sound is the anchor chain running out.
- Flexible dates. With one boat, July weekends book out early. In low season the calendar is open — useful when the date itself matters, like an anniversary.

What €999 actually buys you
The charter is the same product we run in August: eight hours, typically 10:00 to 18:00 and flexible, departing from Berth H17 in Marina Santa Eulalia. The skipper is always included, so neither of you needs a licence — or has to stay sober at the helm. The NAVAN S30 is a premium day boat built for up to ten guests, which means two people travel in absurd comfort: quilted sunpads across the bow, an aft bench with a folding teak table, a private toilet below deck and a small double cabin to change or warm up in. Snorkelling gear and a Bluetooth sound system are on board. Fuel is charged separately by actual use — and a gentle two-person day keeps it modest.
An honest word about the weather
We would rather you book with clear eyes. Through October the sea is still warm from summer and swimming is entirely normal; from November most guests stay dry, and the day becomes about cruising, a long lunch at anchor and the coastline itself. Midwinter air often sits in the mid-teens Celsius; a sunny, windless afternoon in a sheltered cove feels warmer than the number suggests, and there are blankets aboard for the runs in between. Our skipper reads the forecast in the days before your charter and picks the calm side of the island — mornings are usually the stillest hours. Where our skipper takes two people
On a settled autumn day, the answer is often Formentera. The crossing runs south past the silhouette of Dalt Vila, the first stop is the shallow, glass-clear water off S'Espalmador, and Ses Illetes — packed to the waterline in August — goes back to being a long white sandbank with almost nobody on it. Closer to home, the east coast is our home water and our sheltered option: Tagomago island lies about twenty minutes from the marina, and the coves north of Santa Eulalia are quiet even in high summer. Minimoon in October, anniversary in February
Two windows deserve a mention. If you are marrying in late summer, an October minimoon lands in the sweet spot: a sea still holding July's warmth, the famous lagoon nearly empty, and prices sliding towards the winter rate. And if your anniversary falls between November and April, a one-boat calendar works in your favour — in February we can usually give you the exact date you want, midweek included. Extras that earn their place for two
For a day built for two, three extras earn their keep: the drinks package (cava, beer, soft drinks and ice, €35 per person), the food package (a Mediterranean lunch board with fresh fruit and water, €45 per person) and the cocktail package (€65 per person), with premium cocktails mixed on board — in autumn, that turns the last hour at anchor into the quiet high point of the day. On flat mornings the inflatable SUP (€50) gets you onto the water without getting into it. Our advice: don't lock a single date months ahead. Book a flexible window, tell us what you are celebrating, and let the skipper choose the best sea day of your week. In low season we have the room to do exactly that — and it is the closest thing to a weather guarantee an honest crew can offer.
